SET UP A SERVICE-LEARNING OR CREATIVITY, ACTION AND SERVICE PROJECT!

With universalis access to information via the internet, educating for the future with an emphasis on content no longer makes sense. The transmission of knowledge takes a back seat to putting the learner at the centre of the learning process. Education must therefore focus on children’s holistic development so they can respond to a rapidly changing society and succeed in all areas of life.

At Action Against Hunger we have a lot to offer you. We tailor our project to schools’ current needs and provide you with all kinds of resources so that the Race Against Hunger helps you to achieve one of the essential purposes of education: to raise responsible, committed and happy people.

CHOOSE YOUR FOCUS COUNTRY

Each guide focuses on one of the countries where we work.

It lets students learn about the reality of other children's lives and get an insight into the issue of hunger in the context of a prolonged humanitarian crisis.

Each stage addresses different hunger-related issues towards a common goal: to learn about and empathise with other realities and to demonstrate that by working together we can change the world.

In addition to learning about different concepts, students will learn about the causes and consequences of hunger:

  • CLIMATE CHANGE
  • POVERTY AND SOCIAL EXCLUSION
  • WAR AND CONFLICT
  • EPIDEMICS AND DISEASES

Students will be able to learn about the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda and strengthen values and skills such as: creativity, teamwork, communication, citizenship, the spirit of self-improvement, empathy...
